                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 6000
                   BLOCK OF DAYTON BOULEVARD, BEING ON THE
                   NORTHWEST LINE OF DAYTON BOULEVARD AT DOWLEN
                   ROAD FROM C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE TO
                   M-2 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located in the 6000 block of Dayton
                Boulevard, being on the northwest line of Dayton
                Boulevard at Dowlen Road.  Lot 8, Resubdivision of
                James L.R. Smith Subdivision Lot 3 and Lot 8, as
                shown by plat of record in plat book 48, page 75,
                R.O.H.C.; being part of the property described in
                deed book 3304, page 218, R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No.
                90L-B-1.
               
               
         from C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone to M-2 Light Industrial 
Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
